Yes. Officers from our partner network live in the SR area, and the 24/7 control room arranges static guarding, mobile patrols and keyholding in Sunderland and along the Durham coast, with availability confirmed for each booking.
SR covers Sunderland and the coastal strip running south through Seaham to Peterlee. Sunderland's economy leans heavily on automotive manufacturing and the supplier and logistics businesses that serve it, many of them on industrial estates close to the A19 and A1231. The city also has a university, a working port on the Wear, and a city centre that has seen substantial regeneration and new construction. South of the city, Seaham has a harbour and new housing, and Peterlee has industrial estates and retail serving east Durham. Much of this runs on shift patterns or sits empty overnight, which is where guarding and patrols are needed.
A modest number of officers in our network live in SR, with more in the neighbouring Newcastle, Durham and Teesside areas, all within a reasonable drive along the A19. The platform has not yet recorded completed shifts in Sunderland, so we do not suggest an existing presence here. Every request is checked and confirmed by the control room before an officer is assigned. While a shift runs, the client app shows the GPS clock-in, the welfare check-calls made by the control room, and an occurrence log that updates as the officer records patrols and incidents.
Sunderland city centre, Hendon and Grangetown are the most straightforward sites to staff, with officers living locally or a short drive away in South Tyneside. Tunstall and the southern suburbs are covered from the same pool. Seaham and Peterlee lie along the A19, which also brings in officers from Durham and Hartlepool when local cover is stretched. The control room confirms the officer and the start time for every shift before the booking is accepted.
