Yes, SIA-licensed guards can be arranged in the YO area, but few of our network's officers live here and we have not yet worked in the area, so cover comes from Leeds, Hull, Teesside and the wider network and is confirmed when you book.
YO is one of England's largest postcode areas. It includes the city of York, with its Minster, walls, university, hospital and heavy tourist trade, and stretches east across the Vale of York and the Yorkshire Wolds to the coast at Scarborough, Whitby, Filey and Bridlington. Selby lies to the south, close to large energy and industrial sites. Inland, Malton, Pickering, Thirsk, Helmsley and Easingwold are market towns serving farming communities and the North York Moors, and both York and Thirsk have racecourses. The A64, A1(M) and A19 are the main routes, and many sites are a long drive from any city, which shapes how security has to be planned here.
Our network's presence in the YO area is limited: very few officers live here and there is no completed work we can point to. Cover is arranged from the wider network, usually from Leeds, Harrogate, Hull or Teesside, and the control room confirms who is attending and how far they are travelling before you commit. York and Selby are the most practical to staff, while coastal and moorland sites take longer and need notice. Caravan parks and seafront premises tend to need cover during winter closures as well as summer peaks. Each officer holds the SIA licence the role requires and is BS 7858 screened, and the client app tracks every shift.
YO cover is planned by the control room from the wider partner network. York and Selby are the most straightforward, as officers can reach them from Leeds along the A64 or A19. Thirsk is reached from the A1(M) and A19 corridor, often by officers coming from the Teesside or Harrogate side. Malton, Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington are further out and need the most notice, particularly for overnight work. For long contracts, the control room can arrange a rota of travelling officers and confirm it with you before work starts.
