The AB area runs from the granite city and its harbour out to the fishing ports of Peterhead and Fraserburgh, west along the A96 to Inverurie, Huntly and Keith, and up Deeside to Banchory and Ballater. Much of the demand here comes from the energy sector and its supply chain: yards, laydown areas, pipe stores and workshops around Aberdeen, Dyce and the Western Peripheral Route, where plant and materials sit outdoors and need someone watching them between shifts. Distillery country around Dufftown, Aberlour and Rothes adds bonded stores and visitor sites, while the university campuses and the city centre bring offices, student accommodation and retail units.
Our network has a small group of officers living in the area, so cover inside Aberdeen and the commuter towns is usually the simplest to arrange. Sites further out, such as Banff, Macduff or the upper Dee valley, involve real travel time on rural roads, and in winter the weather can affect journeys. We tell you that plainly when you book rather than discovering it on the night. Officers hold the SIA licence the role requires and are screened to BS 7858, and the client app records GPS clock-in, welfare check-calls and a live occurrence log so you can see what is happening without phoning anyone.
Cover in AB is arranged through our partner network and confirmed by the control room once an officer is matched to your shift. Aberdeen, Stonehaven, Inverurie, Kintore and Ellon are the most straightforward because they sit close to where officers live and along the main roads. For Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Huntly, Turriff or Ballater we check travel and availability before confirming, and for longer or recurring contracts we aim to keep the same officers on site. If a location is genuinely hard to staff at short notice, the control room will say so up front.
