WF covers Wakefield and the surrounding former coalfield towns of Castleford, Pontefract, Normanton and Featherstone, plus Hemsworth and South Elmsall to the south-east and the Heavy Woollen towns of Dewsbury, Batley, Ossett and Mirfield to the west. The M62 and M1 cross near Wakefield, and the land around those junctions has filled with large distribution warehouses serving much of the North. Older mill buildings in Dewsbury and Batley are steadily being converted or redeveloped, and there is considerable housebuilding on former colliery land. Wakefield has a cathedral city centre and Pinderfields Hospital, while Pontefract is known for its racecourse and its liquorice heritage.

We have not yet completed work in the area, so the control room confirms availability on each booking rather than leaning on a track record. Logistics sites here often run around the clock and need gatehouse, yard and patrol cover that fits their shift pattern, while construction and empty mill sites mostly need nights and weekends.
