The DN area covers a large stretch of South Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, and logistics is the common thread. Doncaster sits where the A1(M), M18 and M180 meet, with a rail-connected logistics park and big distribution warehouses that run day and night. To the east, the Humber ports at Immingham, Grimsby and Goole handle bulk cargo, vehicles and freight, while Grimsby remains a centre for seafood processing and Cleethorpes is a seaside resort.
