Yes, SIA-licensed security can be arranged in the TQ area, although our network has very few officers nearby, so cover is usually drawn from Exeter, Plymouth and the wider South West and confirmed when you book.
The TQ postcode is centred on Torbay, where Torquay, Paignton and Brixham make up the English Riviera, and extends inland to Newton Abbot and the edge of Dartmoor, and west across the South Hams to Totnes, Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Tourism drives much of the local economy, with hotels, holiday parks, marinas and attractions that are busiest in summer and quiet in winter. Brixham is one of the main fishing ports in the South West, and Teignmouth has a working port. Newton Abbot, linked to Exeter by the A380 and to Plymouth by the A38, is a centre for retail parks, trade counters and light industry. Housing and hotel refurbishment projects run across the area year-round.
Our network does not yet have an established presence in South Devon: very few of its officers live in TQ, and we have no regular work here to point to. Cover is therefore arranged from the wider network, typically officers travelling down the A38 or A380 from Exeter or across from Plymouth, and the control room confirms availability and travel before you commit. That approach works best for planned cover, such as a refurbishment, an empty hotel over the winter or an event with a fixed date. Every officer holds the SIA licence their role needs and is screened to BS 7858, and you can follow each shift in the client app.
Without a large local pool, TQ cover is planned by the control room from our wider partner network. Newton Abbot, Kingsteignton, Teignmouth and Torquay are the most practical to reach from Exeter, while Paignton, Brixham and Totnes follow on through the Torbay road network. Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Salcombe in the South Hams involve narrow roads and longer journeys, and inland sites such as Ashburton or Moretonhampstead can be remote. Booking ahead gives the control room time to arrange travel and, for longer contracts, a consistent rota.
