The PL area is built around Plymouth, a large naval and port city on the south Devon coast, and extends west over the Tamar into Cornwall and north towards Dartmoor. Plymouth has a dockyard and marine engineering sector, a ferry port, a university, a major hospital and a city centre that has seen continuous redevelopment. The A38 links Plymouth with Ivybridge and Saltash, and across the river the area takes in Torpoint, Liskeard, Bodmin and St Austell, where china clay working has shaped the landscape. Along the coast, Looe, Fowey and Padstow are harbour towns busy with tourism in summer.

Every officer is SIA-licensed for the role and screened to BS 7858, and the client app provides GPS clock-in, welfare check-calls and a live occurrence log. Daytime and weekend cover can be booked in the same way when needed.
Plymouth and Plympton are the easiest parts of the PL area to staff, with officers in our network living nearby, and Ivybridge is close along the A38. Saltash is reached across the Tamar. Bodmin and St Austell are further into Cornwall and suit planned shifts, while Tavistock covers the inland edge of Dartmoor. The harbour towns, such as Fowey, are spread along the coast and may need extra notice.
