To the south-east, the Vale of Evesham and the land around Pershore are among England's main fruit and vegetable growing areas, with packhouses, glasshouses and farm premises. Tenbury Wells and Upton upon Severn are smaller riverside towns, and parts of the area are prone to flooding in winter.
