You can book SIA-licensed security officers for sites in St Albans, Harpenden, Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City through Urgent Guard, with each shift arranged through our partner network and confirmed by our control room.
AL is a compact area, but it packs in a lot of variety for its size. St Albans has a busy cathedral city centre with independent shops, restaurants and offices; Harpenden is largely residential with a high street to match; Hatfield combines a university campus with business parks and newer housing; and Welwyn Garden City has a large town centre and industrial estates built around the original garden-city plan. The A1(M) runs through Hatfield and Welwyn, the M25 skirts the south, and the M1 is a short drive west, so warehousing and trade counters cluster near the junctions.
Because the area sits between London and the wider Hertfordshire commuter belt, much of the work involves offices and business park reception desks, retail units that need visible deterrence at busy times, and residential or commercial construction where plant has to be protected overnight. Our network includes officers who live in the area, which helps for regular rostered cover. Every booking runs through the 24/7 control room, and the client app shows GPS clock-in, welfare check-calls and the occurrence log, so a facilities manager can confirm attendance without a phone call.
We arrange cover across St Albans, Harpenden, Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City through officers in our partner network, including some who live locally. The control room confirms each shift once an officer is matched, and for regular contracts we aim to keep a consistent team so they learn your access points and procedures. Because AL is close to Watford, Enfield and Luton, the wider network in those neighbouring areas can help when you need extra officers or very short-notice cover, subject to availability on the day.
Tell us the site and what you need. The control room replies by phone or email, day or night, with officers and an exact price before anything is booked.
