Yes. Our network already covers sites in the WC postcodes and can arrange SIA-licensed guards across Holborn, Bloomsbury, Covent Garden and the Strand, using officers from across London and confirming availability when you book.
The WC postcode area is small but busy. WC1 covers Bloomsbury, with its university buildings, museums, hotels and Georgian squares, plus the streets around Holborn and Gray's Inn. WC2 takes in Covent Garden, the Strand, Aldwych, Leicester Square and much of theatreland, together with the Royal Courts of Justice and the legal quarter around Lincoln's Inn. Almost every building type is represented: offices, hotels, restaurants, theatres, student accommodation, retail and residential, many of them listed and regularly refurbished. The area stays busy late into the evening, deliveries are restricted and parking is scarce, so security planning has to fit around narrow streets, shared entrances and heavy footfall.
Our network already works in central London, including night-time cover in the WC postcodes. Very few of our officers actually live in WC1 or WC2, which is unsurprising given the area, so shifts are staffed by officers from the rest of London who travel in by public transport; the control room confirms who is attending when you book. Officers are BS 7858 screened and licensed by the SIA for the duties involved. Through the client app you can see GPS clock-in, welfare check-calls and the live occurrence log, and you receive incident reports with photos, which helps when several parties share responsibility for a building.
WC covers just two postcode districts, so rather than towns the control room thinks in terms of neighbourhoods: Bloomsbury, Holborn, Covent Garden, the Strand, Aldwych and the streets around Leicester Square, all within central London. Officers are drawn from our partner network across the capital, usually from areas with good Tube and bus links into the centre, and night shifts are planned around night bus and Night Tube options. The control room confirms the officer's name and arrival time before the shift and passes on any building-specific instructions.
